Kyoto Forever 2

They are back, they are determined, and they have two hours to save the world
Creation 2015
The art project

This is the last round of negotiations
Tense atmosphere
Clandestine talks
Whispered words
Journalists on the lookout
Which new protocol after Paris?
Which scenario for the twenty-first Century?
Which development policy should be implemented?
China, USA, Europe, developing or already developed countries, small island states, attenuation, adaptation, green funds?
Muffled discussions. Disagreements. Resistances. Blockages. Progresses.
The winds are rising
And the experts are drifting.

After creating a first Kyoto Forever in 2008, Frédéric Ferrer returns to the UN negotiations on climate change.
Kyoto Forever 2 depicts how searching for a binding international agreement to limit rising temperatures on the globe is long, difficult, exhausting, dramatic, tragic and intense, burlesque, turbulent, hot, and improbable.
Kyoto Forever 2 lets us witness the ballet of experts endlessly beginning again, the waltz of "roadmaps", the final hours of negotiations, and the comedy of the world.
Kyoto Forever 2 has a team of 8 international actors speaking 8 different languages + English and French.
Kyoto Forever 2 is inspired by the actual processes of the conferences held after the failure of Copenhagen in 2009.
Kyoto Forever 2 takes place in 2022 in Mauritius. The delegates are gathered for the last-ditch meeting before the conference of the century, the famous COP 28 in Shanghai, which must save the world (COP 21 in Paris in 2015, despite his diplomatic success, having not allowed to halt the inexorable rise in global temperatures).
