The human species only has a limited amount of time. With the Anthropocene draining the planet, irreversible climate change, the inevitable threat of asteroids which would cause a further mass extinction of biodiversity, intergalactic collision, the reversal of the magnetic field or the evolution of the sun, some day the Earth will be no longer inhabitable. As a consequence, mankind will have to leave. Where to? Can life be possible elsewhere? The first signs received from aliens and the recent discovery of several exoplanets in a habitable zone are raising hopes. There might be a chance that we survive!
