North Pole, cartography 4

Conference on one of the world’s areas of acceleration (ice floe, men, desires and the Lomosonov Ridge)
Creation 2013
The art project

The North Pole is one of the world’s areas of acceleration. Observing and analysing it is surveying a future territory, it’s like looking at the place where the Earth’s fate is unfolding in present time.
Mankind urgently needs to understand the changes that are taking place in these areas of acceleration if we want to be able to anticipate, preserve, guide developments, adapt and avoid the undesirable. However, at present there hasn’t been any attempt to analyse or precisely map the North Pole in a forward-looking perspective. This conference aims, among other goals, to fill that gap.
What you will be told tonight during this conference will be the truth. The naked, crude, violent truth. It’s upsetting and particularly terrifying.
And so inevitable that it’s even more desperate.
But it can also be the harbinger of brighter days ahead. And of a new world to be inhabited and invented.
